Look Sport caused a 40/1 upset to score on his fences debut today, landing Fairyhouse's opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase for jockey Sean O'Keeffe and owner/trainer Paul Nolan.

Successful on his career debut at Kilbeggan in May, the son of No Risk At All had pulled up on a previous start in September but today, wearing a first-time tongue-tie, arrived late to lead on the run-in, eventually scoring by 2.75 lengths from Rosie's Wings .

Nolan reported “his first win was a bit unexpected as well and while that didn't look a strong race, he got a mark of 120 after, although the runner-up later won off 112 in a handicap. I was waiting for a beginners chase like this, for horses rated 120 or less, as he was qualifying.

“He had a couple of dodgy jumps where he took off a little bit early but then he hit the line well. We're delighted now that he's done that and we'll see where we go from here."
