Owner John Devaney made a timely first visit to Downpatrick today as his Tranquil Magic a regular at the venue, recorded a second course win in as many months, when landing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase on her chase debut.

The Colin Bowe trained mare was having her fourth start at Downpatrick today in the past three months, and having won under J.J. Slevin at the track in August, followed up under the same jockey today when beating Persian Wind

Afterwards trainer Bowe stated “we were planning on this being her last run but J.J. said she loved the ground so we'll maybe get another run.

"She jumped lovely but had a bit of experience from point-to-pointing and was good and loves it here. She wouldn't be a star at home but she keeps her best for here. Her owner John Devaney is from London.“
