Oxx on tenterhooks with Titania John Oxx is keeping his fingers crossed My Titania does not suffer any further setbacks ahead of her intended return in the Etihad Airways Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh later this month. Having won twice from three starts as a juvenile, the daughter of Sea The Stars was considered a major contender for the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket last weekend, but was ruled out at the eleventh hour following an unsatisfactory scope. Oxx has been pleased with his filly's progress since, but admits he can not afford any further problems between now and the Curragh Classic on May 25. He said: "She's been cantering all week and seems in good form. We'll have to do a few other checks on her, but hopefully she'll be back in fast work next week and we'll see how things progress. "The Irish Guineas comes up quick enough, but that's the plan, as long as the ground is good or faster. "The ground is the key to her."
