PAPILLON FANCIED FOR NATIONAL REPEAT

Papillon is a best-priced 16-1 with William Hill and Coral Eurobet to repeat his victory of last year in the Martell Grand National at Aintree in April.

Ted Walsh, his trainer, also has Irish Grand National winner Commanche Court (28-1 with Coral Eurobet) entered in the famous race which is to be run on April 7th.

See More Business, successful in the 1999 Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup, has been allotted top weight and is a general 33-1 to defy his burden of 12st.

The 1999 Grand National winner Bobbyjo is also generally available at 33-1 to improve on his disappointing 11th behind Papillon.

And Young Kenny, a strong fancy for last season`s National only to fall at the 10th fence, is once again prominent in the betting and is Coral Eurobet`s 14-1 favourite.

Mely Moss, who finished second to Papillon on his only start last season, is a 25-1 shot with Ladbrokes to go one better this time.

The favourite for the 2000 Grand National was Martin Pipe`s Dark Stranger, who wassent off at 9-1 only to unseat Tony McCoy at the third fence. Dark Stranger is a 33-1 chance (Tote) this year.

The champion trainer has unlucky Uttoxeter loser Take Control in the Aintree marathon, who is on offer at 33-1 (Coral Eurobet). The seven-year-old fell two out with last Saturday`s Singer & Friedlander Grand National Trial at his mercy.

Aintree regulars Brave Highlander, Addington Boy and Call It A Day are among the outsiders and are all on 40-1 with the Tote.
