Pady returns to England for Victor Chandler

Tom Cooper is looking for a big run from Forpadydeplasterer when he returns to England for the 25th Anniversary of The Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot on Saturday.

The County Kerry trainer feared the 10-year-old's racing career might have been over after his run in last season's King George VI Chase.

However, Forpadydeplasterer has shown he still is no back number with fine efforts behind Big Zeb on his last two starts.

"He's in good form and it's been great to have him back. He came back from Kempton a very sick horse last year," Cooper told At The Races.

"After the King George it looked as if his racing days were over."

Cooper felt his charge would have given Big Zeb more to do in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown last month had he not made a mistake at the final fence.

The error caused him to be beaten six lengths in third place.

"He'd have finished a lot closer to Big Zeb, but he just missed the last," Cooper added.

"He was full of running going down to the last. He didn't get his landing gear down the other side. His nose was on the ground."
