Park Row (12/1) came out on the right side of a thrilling finish to Dundalk's concluding race - the extended mile and a quarter handicap.

He chased the leader Manomine into the straight in fourth before powering to the front a furlong and a half down. Zorba The Greek raced in rear under Declan McDonogh but was still tanking along looking for a gap approaching the final furlong.

When the gap presented itself inside the furlong marker, Zorba The Greek thundered home on the inner of Park Row while Catchy Lass threw down her challenge on the outer.

It was a three-way go in the closing stages with Park Row and Gary Halpin winning by a short head and a neck from Zorba The Greek (10/1) and 8/1 chance Catchy Lass.

Trainer John Feane said: "He's been a bit disappointing so it's grand to get a win out of him.

“He'll probably go to Galway for a mile-and-a-half and we'll see how we get on there.”
