Passage Cadran decision on Wednesday Talented but fragile stayer Rite Of Passage could make his seasonal reappearance in Sunday's Prix du Cadran at Longchamp. Dermot Weld's former Ascot Gold Cup hero has visited the racetrack just once in the last two and a half years, when winning the QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup at the Berkshire track on Champions Day last October. That race could well be on his agenda once again, but he remains in the running for a trip to Paris, with a decision on his participation to be made on Wednesday. "There has been no decision with him as yet," Weld said. "He's very well at home and everything's a possible, so he's a possible for the Cadran, but we'll make a final decision with him on Wednesday." One horse who definitely won't be taking a trip to Paris is Mustajeeb, second to War Command in the Futurity Stakes at the Curragh in August. He was a possible runner in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere, but will be taken out at the next entry stage on Wednesday. But Weld will be sending across Yellow Rosebud, a hugely impressive winner of the Guinness European Breeders Fund Corrib Fillies Stakes at the Galway Festival. "The only definite runner I have at Longchamp is Yellow Rosebud in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein on Saturday," continued Weld. "She's in good form and Pat Smullen takes the ride."
