Patrick Mullins feels the step up in trip will bring out the best in Espresso Milan at Thurles this afternoon.

The Milan getting made a winning start for Willie Mullins last month, when taking a Punchestown maiden hurdle.

That victory came over two miles but Patrick Mullins said:-

"We are not overly concerned in maiden hurdles about trips as long as they are not too keen maybe.

"We think 2m6f will be ideal for him.

"There's not that many options for novice hurdlers as well.

"He should improve a lot from his first run as well."

Jade De Grugy seeks Grade 2 compensation

Jade De Grugy is currently a 1/6 shot for the Grade 2 Carey Glass Irish EBF Mares Novice Chase and Mullins said of her:-

"She has run into good mares, ran into a good mare (The Big Westerner) the last day in Limerick.

"As long as it is not too quick back, that will be the only little worry.

"If she turns up, she should be hard to beat."
