Shark and Paddy Hanlon doubled up in the north through Person Of Interest in an incident-packed Downpatrick Style Awards Handicap Steeplechase.

No less than four horses - Sea Of Doubt Doyen Magic My Good Pal and Firstupbestdressed - unseated their riders in this assignment over an extended two-miles-three-furlongs.

The five-year-old gelding raced towards the rear and progressed to third five out. He was left in the lead three from home and began to move clear approaching the last. The 3/1 favourite powered up the hill to sail in by 12 lengths from Fr Gilligansvoyge (20/1). Bayonetta rounded out the placings at 13/2.

Trainer Hanlon said: "He's a brilliant jumper.

"Paddy said just at the start he hesitated for a second. The plan was to make the running and the good thing about Paddy, there is always a 'Plan B'.

"If he had of been up there, he could have been brought down.

"He said he gave him a squeeze coming down the hill and he says he just took off.

"We had no tongue-tie in Limerick and I'd say that was the problem.

"I think the world of this horse and he just has had little quirky problems. I have them ironed out."

The Hanlons also took race two with Pahlavi
