Pertemps end Doncaster sponsorship Recruitment firm Pertemps, who backed the St Leger at Doncaster in the late 1990s, have announced that they are to take a break from sponsorship at the Yorkshire track.They have withdrawn from sponsorship of the Great Yorkshire Chase and the Mansion House Chase at Doncaster`s January meeting, together with their sponsorship of the two-mile handicap on the Flat at the November Meeting.Doncaster`s Chief Executive, John Sanderson, said 'Whilst the decision has come rather close to our Great Yorkshire Chase fixture, we understand that it has been taken as a result of a re-allocation of Pertemps resources.'We are very grateful for the support Pertemps have given to Doncaster since stepping in as sponsors of the St Leger in 1995.'Tim Watts, the chairman of Pertemps and the driving force behind many of the sponsorship deals, added: 'We have been delighted with our association with Doncaster - this is simply a case of au revoir, not goodbye.'Pertemps sponsorthe two-day Christmas meeting at Kempton, which features the Pertemps King George VI Chase.
