Peslier to ride Sea Moon in St Leger Olivier Peslier will ride hot favourite Sea Moon in the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday week. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt leapt to the head of the betting with an emphatic victory in the Great Voltigeur at York last month and has been a warm order for the race ever since. The leading French rider rider has picked up big-race rides for Stoute in the past, most notably when steering Harbinger to an emphatic King George success last season. Shippy Ellis, agent for Peslier said: "Olivier's absolutely delighted to be given the ride and is really looking forward to Doncaster. "The ride came about through having ridden for Sir Michael in the King George last year. "He's stepped in before and we're obviously all hoping that there's a similar result at Doncaster to what Harbinger achieved at Ascot." The ride became available because of Ryan Moore's injury and Richard Hughes being claimed to ride Richard Hannon's Census.
