Philosophical Maguire has Lexus ambitions

Trainer Adrian Maguire was philosophical about his Let Yourself Go's exit in yesterday's Grade 2 Hilly Way Chase, run at Fairyhouse.

Ley Yourself Go looked held by winner Golden Silver but was disputing second place when unseating jockey Shane Hassett at the final fence.

Speaking at Clonmel today, Maguire stated ""Let Yourself Go is bouncing today and the plan is to run next in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas. His exit was unfortunate - Shane was doing the right thing, wanting him to pop the fence but the horse was still racing down to it."

Maguire, rider of one Barton Bank, tongue-in-cheekily added "things could be a lot worse - you could have been 15 lengths clear in the King George when it happened!"
