Pick 6 to reach €500,000 at Galway The pool for the Tote Ireland Pick 6 at Galway this evening is set to top half a million euro for only the second time in the bets history. The popular multi-leg bet hasn't been won since Wexford last Friday and a series of Rollovers have resulted in a starting pool of €248,489 this evening. Pat Brennan of Tote Ireland commented: "We expect the final pool this evening to top half-a-million as a number of big players from both home and internationally tend to get involved when we get these big rollovers." "A Galway based punter who placed his Pick 6 bet in a Paddy Power office in the city yesterday held the only remaining unit going into the final leg. He had the English challenger Superb Story in The Guinness Galway Hurdle and stood to win over €173,000 but unfortunately his selection was pulled up before the final hurdle." "Our biggest ever Pick 6 pool was at Roscommon on August 5th 2014 when a €361,658 Rollover went to €568,000 and produced a dividend of over €200,000." The Pick 6 bet involves selecting each of the first six winners at a race meeting. The first leg of this evining's bet at Galway is at 5.10pm race.
