Plans delayed for Hidden Cyclone Plans for Hidden Cyclone are on hold after the 10-year-old sustained a nasty gash on his leg in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham. Fears that John Hanlon's stable star had damaged his tendon have proved unfounded but it will be at least a week before connections will be able to make a decision about the horse's future. Hopes were high that Hidden Cyclone could run as well in the Ryanair as he did when he was runner-up to Dynaste 12 months ago, but he could only finish sixth behind Uxizandre in Thursday's renewal. "He got a gash on his leg. We're happy enough after he had it scanned and the tendon is OK which is most important," said Co Carlow-based Hanlon. "He had a right gash on his leg when he came back in. The vets were looking at it down at the bottom of his tendon and we were afraid we were in trouble, but it's OK. "Hopefully we'll see how we are in a week or 10 days and make a plan or see where we go. "It's the same leg he got a cut on last year. A horse struck into him or something, I don't know, but he's very sore at the minute. "The tendon is OK and that's the biggest part. We'll have to see in a week or 10 days how he is and make a decision what way we are going."
