Pleascach & Curvy among Ribblesdale ten Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Pleascach will face nine opponents in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot. Having seen his filly saunter clear over a mile and a quarter in the Blue Wind Stakes at Naas on her penultimate start, trainer Jim Bolger bravely dropped her to a mile for the Classic and the move paid off as she saw off Found at the Curragh. The daughter of Teofilo takes a step into the unknown over a mile and a half in Thursday's Group Two contest, but is a hot favourite to provide the master of Coolcullen with another Royal meeting success. Pleascach heads a formidable three-pronged challenge from Ireland, with David Wachman's Curvy and the Aidan O'Brien-trained Wedding Vow also declared. Curvy bids for a fourth win from as many starts this season, while Wedding Vow has been placed on each of her three appearances this season, most recently when odds-on for the Lingfield Oaks Trial. John Gosden's impressive Newmarket maiden winner Gretchen is one of the chief hopes for the home team, and is joined by stable companions Entertainment and Zamoura. Luca Cumani's Pamona is another for the shortlist, while Brandybend, Forte and Pandora complete the field.
