Cable headed her for favouritism but out on the track there was no contest as Willie Mullins' Borboleta looked a bright prospect when sauntering home at her ease in the concluding Cummins & Sons Homevalue INH Flat Race at Ballinrobe.

Cable, on the back of his excellent Galway effort, was a well-backed 5/4 market-leader for local connections, but J J Slevin was hard at work approaching the end of the back straight on the Champs Elysees gelding.

In contrast on the six-year-old first time out Germany mare, Borboleta, Patrick Mullins was sitting pretty.

The winning six to four shot went away to account for Cable and Graineyhill in impressive style, by nine lengths and half a length. Fourth home Thats The News was twenty two lengths further back.

"She has been quite hard to keep sound and she was bought two years ago. She has a great pedigree, Germany is obviously a fantastic sire and she is a half-sister to The Romford Pele," commented Patrick Mullins.

"We weren't sure she'd do that. Because she has been quite fragile we haven't trained her as hard as usual.

"I'd say the favourite didn't run to form, but I think there is plenty of fun to be had with her.

"She is owned by John Coleman, he used to have a horse called Rattan. He is not here today but I'm sure there will be plenty of other days in the winner's enclosure for him."
