Poignant victory as Karlynn scores in great style Karlynn confirmed the promise of his second to Arouet at Cork earlier this month when making all for a very easy victory in the Discover Wexford Maiden Hurdle. Trained by John Burke for the FDK Syndicate, the 5/2 favourite drew clear early in the straight and stretched further away under Eoin Walsh to ultimately win by a facile 15 lengths. Clone Cross outran odds of 100/1 in second with Lumiere Du Large a further five lengths away in third. Burke’s brother and assistant Martin said, “He’s improving the whole time, and is only a four-year-old. “He looked impressive there today, so we’ll see where we go now.
