Pretty Pollyanna is set to make her seasonal debut in the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh on May 26.

The Michael Bell-trained filly had been a leading fancy for the Qipco 1000 Guineas earlier this month, before she was taken out of the Newmarket showpiece after failing to sparkle in a crucial workout.

However, she is now pleasing connections and it is all systems go for her to have a crack at the fillies’ Classic over a mile in Ireland.

“I think things are really on track now. We’re very much hoping she’ll be all singing and all dancing for the Irish Guineas,” said Bell.

“We’re very positive.”

Pretty Pollyanna was one of the best of her generation last year, winning the Group Two Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket by seven lengths and the Group One Prix Morny at Deauville.

She was third in the Fillies’ Mile back at Newmarket in October on her final start of 2018.
