Dubai Sheema Classic winner Postponed's European campaign will revolve around the King George at Ascot and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe this season.

Roger Varian's five-year-old son of Dubawi recorded an easy win in the Turf highlight at Meydan on Saturday, effortlessly beating Duramente by two lengths under Andrea Atzeni.

That was his second win in two starts for Varian after he won his trial in similar fashion earlier in the month, and the Newmarket handler is looking forward to the rest of the season with his new stable star.

While his next target remains undecided, trips to Ascot, where he could bid to retain his King George crown, and Longchamp, look likely later in the year.

"He's come out of it well, he arrived back in the UK yesterday and everything went very smoothly," Varian told sportinglife.com.

"We haven't decided on a plan for him yet, we'll see how he is over the next few days and then we'll speak to the owner about his next race.

"His big midsummer target will be the King George again, so we'll work backwards from that and then his autumn target will be the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and we'll plan around that."

Meanwhile, Barsanti, also owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, looks likely to step up in trip again following another comfortable success in the Rosebery Handicap at Kempton over the weekend.

The four-year-old son of Champs Elysees was gelded prior to his reappearance at Chelmsford where he bolted up off a mark of 75, and a 10lb rise didn't stop him following up in similar fashion over 1m3f on Saturday.

That was the furthest he's ever gone, but Varian feels his future lies over a mile-and-a-half with a May assignment pencilled in for his next run.

"He's won comfortably twice now and has gone up another 11lb to a mark of 96 so it will be tougher for him next time, he'll have to stick to class 2s now.

"I didn't think it was the most competitive Rosebery either, but he did it nicely.

"There's no rush with him, I'll probably look for something in May. There aren't many 1m 3f handicaps, but I think he'll be better off going a mile-and-a-half as he takes on better opposition in better races."
