Prairie Girl will bid to continue her progression at Dundalk in the New Year.

The Danny Murphy-trained filly was an impressive winner at the course in late October and was first past the post back at the track earlier this month before losing the race in the stewards room.

In blustery conditions that day the Mehmas filly drifted to her right in the closing stages, hampering rival Buddy Batt

She received another 3lb for that effort and Murphy is eyeing a sprint handicap back at the Louth venue on January 9th.

Murphy Eyes Dundalk Return

"She will come back to Dundalk on the first meeting of the new year,” said Murphy.

"It is an apprentice race over five furlongs.

"We are still disappointed at being demoted."
