Pralognan completes quick doubles for Martin and Sexton Having landed the previous race just over half-an-hour earlier, Tony Martin and Kevin Sexton completed quick doubles as Pralognan stayed on best to win the Cab Plant Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick. A Flat winner as a juvenile on just his second career start, the now six-year-old had failed to add to that sole success in subsequent outings prior to today. Settled in mid division for much of this race, Sexton produced the gelding from off the pace to go second after jumping the final flight. Heading Ar Nos Na Gaoithe early on the run in, the 11/2 chance kept on well to prevail by half-a-length. Tony Martin said: "It is great for the people involved, they are local men. I'm very happy for them. "He's a good horse, but it hasn't fell right for him. Today, Kevin was very good on him and it fell right for him. "I didn't know whether he would give it (effort), I saw his head going sideways. Lucky enough he did it well." Additional reporting by Michael Graham.
