Pre-race action at Downpatrick A bumper crowd has already descended on Downpatrick today for the course's annual holiday meeting. The course has went the extra mile laying on pre-race entertainment with kids races among the events on 'family fun day'. Children in attendance have also been treated to pony and sheep jumping in the parade ring as well as face painting and other attractions. The northern venue is always well attended but with many in Northern Ireland on holidays at present the track is full to bursting this afternoon.
