High draws were favoured in the Treacy Group Supporting Newbridge Parishes Day Handicap, the finale at the Curragh, as 50/1 chance Prime Sign scored on her initial venture outside of maiden company.

Berthed from gate 27, the Andy Oliver-trained and Billy Lee-ridden Footstepsinthesand filly saw off Velvet Skies (stall 28) and Lismacbryan Hill (stall 26) by three parts of a length and the same.

Fourth and fifth placers then were An Laochmor (stall 25) and White Clover (stall 24).

Winning owner Trevor Dalzell is on a good run as Unique Journey bolted up in his colours at Naas recently.

"She's a big filly so she only ran late on last year and she had to come to herself," reflected Oliver today after Prime Sign's win.

"Nice ground was what she wanted and everything fell into place, though we thought she'd probably be too inexperienced first time in a handicap.

"It's a pleasant surprise. Billy gave her a great ride where there seemed to be a big draw bias. Everything seemed to work in her favour today to be fair."
