Private Be takes Exeter feature

Private Be, third behind Imperial Commander in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham last month, gained reward for his consistency this season when successfully dropped in trip to land the #30,000 Exeter Graduation Chase.

The nine-year-old gelding was sent to the front three out by Richard Johnson, and kept on well in the testing conditions to beat front-runner Nacarat by nine lengths.

The 4/6 favourite Silverburn proved a big disappointment, being driven along by Ruby Walsh at halfway and eventually finishing a well-beaten fourth.
