Go It Alone made light of a 15lb hike for a previous win when taking the Follow TipperaryRaces On Facebook Handicap Hurdle in impressive fashion.

The point-to-point winner came good when switched to handicap company in the mud at Thurles in February, and this better ground (officially yielding to soft) proved no problem.

Mikey Fogarty ’s mount led three out and, despite showing a tendency to jump to the right, took total command in the straight.

The Colin Bowe-trained 11/2 chance stayed on strongly to beat Highest Benefit by five and a half lengths, with the veteran Marshim another two and a half lengths adrift in third. Skellig Rocks completed the places in this 20-runner affair.
