Gowran plays host to a seven-race Flat card on Sunday, with the feature contest being the Goresbridge Breeze Up At Gowran Park May 22nd & 23rd Handicap.

After winning over the course last month Einsteins Folly is sure to be popular with punters for the one-mile contest.

The Jim Bolger trained-colt was beaten just a short head on his last start at Cork, and with Ronan Whelan taking 3lb off here, he can be expected to go close.

Piri Wango, who was last seen finishing last of eight in a Group Three at the Curragh, makes his seasonal reappearance in the valuable contest, while Vastonea, Castle Guest and Dark Crusader are other notable contenders.

The opening contest, the Ladies Day June 21st Fillies Race, looks an interesting affair, with Dark Skies, Tested, Sophie's World and Shanooan all having won on their last start.

The Willie McCreery-trained Colour Blue has some smart form to her name from last season and is another who cannot be ruled out.

Dashwood won a six-furlong handicap by eight lengths at Ayr last Sunday and with Robbie Downey claiming a valuable 7lb he looks the one to side with in the Gowran Park Golf Club Handicap.

While she was a bit disappointing on her seasonal reappearance at Navan, Gorteo should be able to get off the mark in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, while Moreece has every chance in the Like Us On Facebook Handicap.

The Centenary Weekend June 21st & 22nd Rated Race looks an interesting contest and it is hard to separate the six runners.

Focussed is by far the most experienced horse in the race and after winning on his last start at Tipperary it may prove wise to side with the Brendan Duke-trained gelding.

Paul Deegan runs Atlantic Sea, and said: "He has some good form. We thought his wind was catching him so we operated on his wind over the winter. He's ready to run and his work has been good, but he might be vulnerable first time out as he's a big, heavy horse."

The card is rounded off with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden for three-year-olds, where after going close on a couple of occasions Deegan's Achnaha should be able finally to shed her maiden tag.

The trainer said: "She's been competing at a high level and was probably beaten by a good filly last time (Afternoon Sunlight). The step up in trip should suit."
