Queally still has faith in Domination

Tom Queally believes it is too early to write off World Domination following his disappointing effort in the Dante Stakes at York on Thursday.

The three-year-old was ante-post favourite for the Derby prior to the Knavesmire trial, but a trip to Epsom now looks doubtful after he was well beaten into fourth by Carlton House.

Royal Ascot looks the Henry Cecil-trained colt's most likely next stop and Queally feels there is huge improvement to come.

Writing in his exclusive blog at www.racinguk.com the jockey said: "On the one hand World Domination was disappointing in finishing more than seven lengths behind Carlton House.

"But on the other hand it was a muddling race and he will have more time now if heading straight to the King Edward VII Stakes, rather than taking in Epsom two weeks earlier.

"Epsom can take a lot out of horses and it's probably a blessing in disguise, as he doesn't give the impression he would be ready so soon for a test like that.

"He's better than that performance we saw and it will be most interesting to see how he gets on if he does go to Royal Ascot."
