Queally tastes Cheltenham success. Co. Waterford trainer John Queally achieved his first training success at Cheltenham when his Al Eile ran out an impressive winner of the juvenile hurdle yesterday.Al Eile, a son of Alzao, easily defeated six rivals, thus entering the betting at 25/1 for the Triumph Hurdle next March.Queally, successful as an amateur rider on board Glyde Court in the 1986 Kim Muir, later reported that the winner endured a nightmare trip to the track, reporting 'It took 25 hours. He left on Thursday evening and spent seven hours travelling to Dublin, but then had to come back. He then left again at 3am yesterday afternoon and got to Cheltenham at 5am today.'He added 'The Triumph Hurdle could be for him but that depends whether I will still be training him. There are sure to be a few customers after that.'
