Willie Mullins completed a mixed double at Tipperary as Quick Grabim readily justified favouritism in the Joe Mac Novice Hurdle.

Paul Townend oozed confidence on the 5/4 favourite who got a nice run up the inner to lead after two out in this Grade 3 event.

The six-year-old gelding wasn’t too fluent at the final flight but kept on strongly to beat Triplicate by an easy five and a half lengths. Easy Game was a further four and a half lengths away in third.

Mullins was on the mark earlier with the gambled-on Micro Manage in the juvenile maiden.

Townend said, "It was a good performance. There was some traffic turning in but that was my own fault and when we straightened up I had loads of horse to go through - I was just afraid Mark (Bolger, on leader Pearl Of The West would fall back in my lap a bit quicker than he did.

"He picked up smartly. He fell in Leopardstown last season but they can all fall and he was always good to jump and is good and sharp over his hurdles - he is a real hurdler."
