Cul Baire put himself in the shop window when running out a convincing winner of the 1m6f handicap at Leopardstown.

Kevin Manning and Jim Bolger combined to record a quick double as the King's Best gelding recorded a two-and-a-half length success.

The 8/1 winner kicked for home turning in and kept on strongly in the closing stages to land the spoils.

11/2 favourite Defence Of Duress under Frankie Dettori, gave chase but never looked like pegging back the winner.

Cul Baire was showing nice improvement from his debut effort at the Curragh last month and Bolger revealed afterwards that the five-year-old is available for purchase.

“He's been for sale the whole time and has even been schooled – he jumps like a buck. Nobody has bought him yet,” said Bolger.

“He's been on the transfer list since he won his bumper.”

The winner could head straight for the Newmarket sales now and Bolger added: “We'll leave a bit for the next man or women. He'll make a high class hurdler.”
