Mark Walsh claimed both divisions of the Greville Arms Hotel Mullingar Handicap Chase at Kilbeggan tonight courtesy of Glenquin Castle in the second heat.

Half an hour on from his victory on Arctic Light Walsh donned the JP McManus colours again on the Martin Brassil-trained gelding.

The 5/2 favourite sat in behind the leaders for most of the three-mile-one trip before coming to challenge after the second last.

The Getaway gelding jumped to the front over the final fence and stayed on well to record a length-and-a-half win over Ballinasilla

Glenquin Castle was following up on his victory at Roscommon earlier in the month.

“It was the weaker of the two divisions, I thought, and we hacked for most of it,” said Walsh.

“I was always cantering and was always happy with how I was going.

“He's got his head in front again and hopefully he can keep improving like that.”
