Quick reappearance for Tempo

Willie Mullins admits he is taking a chance with Blazing Tempo as she heads to Clonmel tomorrow for the EBF T A Morris Memorial Mares Chase just five days after running at Down Royal.

The Galway Plate heroine was far from disgraced when third behind Kauto Stone on Saturday, and her trainer feels the Clonmel Grade 3 event represents a good opportunity for her to bounce back to winning ways.

"She seems in good form and I just hope it doesn't come too soon after her run the other day. We're taking a bit of a chance with her in that respect," said Mullins.

"It looks a good opportunity for her as the conditions of the race suit, she goes on the ground and that race hasn't taken too much out of her.

"She got hampered a bit at the start the other day, but it was still a good run. She's been running well all year and doesn't owe anybody anything."

Blazing Tempo faces six rivals including Michael Winters' stable star For Bill and Shop DJ from Peter Fahey's yard.
