Quinta Girl continues O'Callaghan's good run Quinta Girl (13/2) gained a maiden success in the Membership At Gowran Park Fillies & Mares Claiming Race, before going unclaimed. The Sioux Nation filly had been placed in a Curragh maiden in June and was produced by apprentice jockey Reese Holohan to lead inside the final furlong, beating Tax Me Later by a half-length. In-from winning trainer Michael O'Callaghan, who bagged July’s Group 2 Railway Stakes and last weekend’s Group 3 Round Tower Stakes, reported "It was overdue for Quinta Girl to get her head in front. She's a filly that we liked and thought she'd have won a maiden or something before now. “When we saw this race and the conditions of it, we put her in. Reese's 7lb claim was a big help and he said that she's just in a different league. “I thought she was probably well handicapped, even though the handicap didn't come into play, and I thought her mark was probably a bit lenient. She's probably an 80-rated filly, so it's good that she's gone and won."  Quinta Girl went unclaimed at €25,000, although runner-up Tax Me Later was later picked up at that same price by the Dreamers Alliance Syndicate, to be trained by Kevin Coleman.
