Racecourse Cash Deposit Facilities for Bookmakers As a result of recent robberies targeted at on-course Bookmakers, facilities have been put in place with immediate effect to enable bookmakers to make cash deposits with a security firm at all racecourses. Commenting on this development, Caroline Gray, Manager of the Betting Division of Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) said:'The robbery and attempted robbery of two on-course bookmakers following the Irish Grand National meeting are of great concern to bookmakers and HRI alike. We hope that the concerns of bookmakers in relation to carrying cash will be alleviated by providing them with the opportunity to deposit cash with a security firm on the racecourse'.
