Racehorse to Riding Horse campaign Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) have sponsored the Racehorse To Riding Horse campaign since 2012 and have announced that the number of invitational qualifiers for the RDS final has now doubled. There will be six RDS Invitational Qualifiers, taking place at Ballymoney on June 6th, Armagh on June 13th, Gorey and Cork on June 20th, Athlone on June 28th and finally Ardrahan on July 11th. The final contest takes place at the RDS on Saturday the 8th of August and was last year won by 2009 Arkle Chase hero, Forpadydeplasterer, ridden by Joanne Quirke. In addition, there will also be an Ex-Racehorse Of The Year competition at the Trim Horse Show on September 6th, where all previous qualifiers compete for the last prize of the year.
