First Cornerstone is likely to go straight to the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster on October 27th.

Andy Oliver's smart juvenile won the Futurity Stakes last time out and had been an intended runner in the Beresford Stakes yesterday.

However, Co Tyrone based Oliver was not quite happy with his condition and took him out at the declaration stage.

A tweet from his owners, American-based Team Valor, said: "First Cornerstone is back in full training after missing a few days with a virus. He will probably go straight for the G1 Racing Post Trophy."
