Racing abandoned at Bellewstown Racing has been abandoned at Bellewstown. Following the running of Race 2 the Raceday Stewards met with a delegation of riders, the IHRB Clerk of the Course, representatives of the Irish Racehorse Trainers Association and the Racecourse Manager to review an incident on the bend. Having reviewed the footage and considered the observations, as well as the remedial work carried out following Race 1, the Raceday Stewards, in the interest of safety for both horse and rider, made the decision to abandon the remainder of the card under the provisions of Rule 10. A couple of horses stumbled in race one and Dylan Browne McMonagle's mount Mosel slipped up with the jockey subsequently transferred to hospital in Drogheda. Both Pettus Bridge and Distillate came down in race two.
