Racing finally gets go ahead Doncaster This afternoon's meeting at Doncaster takes place as scheduled after the track passed a third morning inspection at 11am. Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan initially called a precautionary inspection for 8am due to the threat of frost overnight, but felt he needed more time before making a final decision and decided to check again at 10am. Conditions continued to improved through the morning and after inspecting the course for a third time, along with a delegation of jockeys and trainers, Duncan is happy to give the fixture the green light. He said: "Temperatures have risen and racing goes ahead." Meanwhile racing takes place this afternoon at Tramore where the going remains yielding (soft in places). The weather forecast is generally dry for today, and the first race gets underway at 12.10pm.
