Raven's Passes Gallops Exam Raven's Pass pleased connections in a six-furlong workout on Newmarket's Rowley Mile course ahead of Saturday's Darley Dewhurst Stakes. The John Gosden-trained colt is 3-1 joint second-favourite for the Group One contest over seven furlongs on the same track, in what is building up to be the two-year-old race of the season.Jimmy Fortune was in the saddle and he said: 'We're very happy with him. The boss decided to give him a racecourse gallop because he's a horse who does not overdo himself at home.'He's just a laid-back horse at home. It's hard to know whether you've done enough with them when they are like that.'He worked nicely and fingers crossed for Saturday.'I had a very good lead horse in front of me, who led me along for five furlongs. He's a very good lead horse and there's not too many get past him at home.'You want to get enough into them without leaving the race at home ? it's a fine line.'He's a very nice horse. He has beaten Group Three horses very comfortably but hasn't met a Group One horse yet. I'm sure we'll find out on Saturday whether he's good enough or not.'He's a solid horse and he's well-matured for his age. He couldn't do any more than he's done so far, but Saturday is going to be a big test,' Fortune told Racing UK.(C) PA Sport
