Raymond Sweet On Lilly

Sweet Lilly will look to build on a fine performance in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown last time in the Lanwades Stud Severals Stakes at Newmarket on Friday.

Mick Channon's three-year-old filly has some fine form to her name this year, including a close-up defeat to Peeping Fawn in the Nassau Stakes and Echelon on her last outing in Ireland.

Sweet Lilly drops back down to Listed company and Bruce Raymond, racing manager to the owner, Jaber Abdullah, believes she holds strong claims.

'Sweet Lilly will have no problems with the ground ? in fact the conditions are in her favour,' said Raymond.

'As regards the trip, a mile and a quarter is just about her maximum.

'She did run a fine second to Passage Of Time in the Musidora over an extended 10 furlongs back in May.

'She has strong claims as she is already proven in Listed company,' he told www.rabbahbloodstock.com.
