Rehana all set for Debutante test Mick Halford bids to continue his good recent record in the Breast Cancer Research Debutante Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday when he saddles the promising Rehana. Halford won the 2014 renewal with Raydara and has another major contender in the shape of this two-year-old daughter of Dark Angel. Rehana finished third on her Fairyhouse introduction and then won in impressive fashion at this venue in late June, when she beat the reopposing Rhododendron by two and a quarter lengths. Halford said: "She's in good form and we've been happy with her at home since the last day. "It's a big step up in class, but her form is good and we thought this was the obvious next step. "It's a hot race, but that's what you expect when you're coming into a Group Two." Brave Anna bids to prove her surprise Royal Ascot success was no fluke. The daughter of War Front was the apparent second string for trainer Aidan O'Brien in the Albany Stakes, but knuckled down well to claim a narrow victory in the hands of Seamie Heffernan. The form received a major lift earlier this week when the third home, Queen Kindly, ran out an impressive winner of the Lowther Stakes at York. Brave Anna now contests a Group Two contest her trainer has won a record 10 times. "Her form has obviously been boosted," said O'Brien. The Ballydoyle trainer also runs course-and-distance winner Hydrangea and Rhododendron, who justified odds-on favouritism on her second start at Goodwood. Joseph O'Brien is represented by Intricately, who built on the promise of a debut victory at Gowran when third in the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown. The Ger Lyons-trained Brooklyn's Rose, Jessica Harrington's Drumfad Bay, Elusive Beauty from Ken Condon's yard and Jim Bolger's Oh Grace complete the nine-runner field.
