Remarkable Royal success seals first treble for Twomey A remarkable win for Royal Entry (85/40) in the Mallow Fillies Maiden sealed a first treble for talented Tipperary trainer Paddy Twomey. Completing his three-timer with Billy Lee, the pair were earlier successful with Rogue Legend and No Alibi. Slow into stride and losing a considerable amount of ground at the start, the 82-rated chestnut gradually closed on the main protagonists and travelled sweetly in third from the two-furlong pole. Ridden to lead with a furlong to go, the Marguerite Joyce-owned four-year-old stretched clear in the closing stages and had two-and-a-quarter lengths to spare at the line. Returned the 6/5 favourite, Tswalu filled the runner-up spot for the third time in succession, with newcomer Tenoya, a stable companion of the winner, another three-and-a-quarter lengths back in third, after attempting to make all. "She has her own ideas about things but luckily has plenty of ability," Twomey reflected. "Billy was nice and cool on her, she was able to make up ground down the back straight and he sat in behind them up the straight. She has that bit of class and picked up and won nicely. "Donagh (O'Connor, on Tenoya) was in front, was able to dictate and she was running her own race so it was a lovely introduction for her. "Joe (Joyce, owner along with his wife Marguerite) has lofty plans so the trainer has to keep his feet on the ground! We'll have to take it one step at a time. "Overall it was a good night, this is fantastic and is my first treble - it's nice to have it here."
