Renaissance for export as Soul Loves makes all The Karl Burke-trained Soul Love (5/2 JF), ridden by Pierre-Louis Jamin, made all to win the Group 3 Qatar Racing And Equestrian Club Renaissance Stakes over six furlongs at the Curragh. Only out of the placings once in her career, the David Ward-owned filly came here on the back of a runner-up effort in Naas' Ballyogan Stakes, when she was caught close to home. The daughter of Starman had most of her rivals on the stretch after quickening up three furlongs out, and she picked up again when ridden two furlongs out. The three-year-old kept on well to beat her six-year-old rival, Big Gossey (12/1), by three-quarters of a length. The course legend stayed on and was closing on the winner all the way to the line. Power Blue (5/2 JF) finished a further four lengths back in third and seemed to be found out by this drop in trip. "I'm delighted with that. We didn't know if she'd handle the ground so heavy. We were here and we had what we thought was a good draw up the stands rail, which I think you need here on the soft ground. We decided to take our chance,” said winning trainer Karl Burke. “Pierre is very good from the front. She jumped quick and got into a nice rhythm. I was a bit surprised the Amo horse(Power Blue) didn't take us on a bit more, I thought that might try and spoil it for us. We were very comfortable from a long way out. "We've been very lucky here in Ireland. Naas, the Curragh and Leopardstown have all been lucky places for us. I believe Soul Love has a date at the Mares Sales but it might be a bit of a no brainer now to throw her hat into the ring for Champions Weekend at Ascot. We'd have no qualms now if it came up soft."
