The Rest Of The World team won the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup at Ascot while Thierry Jarnet landed the Silver Saddle.

Thierry Jarnet rode his second winner aboard 6-1 shot Kadrizzi in the Shergar Cup Sprint, but the Rest of the World team were confirmed as winners of the competition.

Jarnet took his time as fellow European Frankie Dettori sent Soapy Aitken into an early lead.

He weakened quickly, though, and Kadrizzi came through with his run on the far side of the track and got up to score by two lengths.

The Pierre-Charles Boudot-ridden Flying Pursuit was second to ensure it was a good result for Europe, with the team ending on 65 points.

Emma-Jayne Wilson guided Muhadathat to third for the Girls Team (54 points), but crucially, Kenichi Ikezoe was fourth on Suqoor and that took the Rest of the World tally to 68.

Sunflower and Martin Harley finished fifth, taking the Great Britain and Ireland final score to 53.

Jarnet was confirmed as the winner of the Alistair Haggis Silver Saddle, having earned 38 points for his team, eight more than runner-up Lerena.

After winning on Arch Villain earlier on the card, Lerena recorded his second victory of the day after seeing off Combative, ridden by Rest Of The World teammate Silvestre de Sousa, in the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Classic.

Emma-Jayne Wilson got some vital points for the Girls team after finishing third aboard Andrew Balding's Real Dominiom.
