Ribblesdale next for Pandora Pandora is set to skip the Investec Oaks in favour of the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot following her creditable run in the Musidora at York last week. Having just the second outing of her career, the Charlie Hills-trained filly finishing third, beaten just three lengths by Star Of Seville and Group One winner Together Forever. Hills is struggling for winners at present, so took great heart from her performance. He said: "We were particularly pleased with Pandora who took a big step forward in the Musidora. "We will almost certainly miss Epsom and go to Royal Ascot for the Ribblesdale. "If she improves again from the race like she did from her first race she must have a cracking chance." Sir Roger Moore finished third on his debut in a hot six-furlong maiden at York and also has the big meeting in June on his radar. "Sir Roger Moore ran a great race first time out and was beaten by two horses with racing experience," said Hills. "He showed his inexperience when he got a bump mid-race which set him alight. "If there's a suitable race between now and Ascot he'll run in it, however we wouldn't be afraid to take him straight there for the Coventry." Hills' frustrating run continued at Newbury on Saturday, but Cable Bay and Salt Island ran with credit in the Lockinge and the Carnarvon Stakes respectively. The Lambourn handler said: "Salt Island was too far out of his ground in the Carnarvon Stakes and flew home. "He's a very talented sprinter and it was great to see him run so well when most of our older horses are running well below par. "He should have a good chance in the Commonwealth Cup. "It was also great to see Cable Bay run so well in the Lockinge and get the mile trip. "It opens more doors for him and again he should improve once the horses are back in form. "As we keep saying, there isn't a horse in training that doesn't deserve a Group race more than him."
