Rip Likely for Dewhurst

The Galileo colt was one of eight Aidan O'Brien-trained entries still in the Group One juvenile test at the five-day stage.

And according to the Ballydoyle maestro, he's likely to line up at HQ on Saturday afternoon.

He told The Racing Post: "The plan is to run Rip in the Dewhurst. If he does run, we probably won't have any other runners.

"If he doesn't, we'd probably run a couple of the others, but he seems fine so far."

William Hill go 11-8 about Rip Van Winkle's Dewhurst chances, as he bids to maintain his unbeaten record.

He was actually only second past the post on his debut at the Curragh back in June, but was awarded the race by the stewards.

He then improved on that performance to smoothly outpoint Jim Bolger's talented filly Cuis Ghaire in the Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown.
