Backers of 4/6 favourite Rocky's Howya barely had a moment's worry as he won heavily-eased down in the Flat Is Back At Naas Claiming Hurdle over an extended two-miles-six-furlongs.

He raced predominantly clear for Kevin Healy and the pair eased away from their rivals before two out.

The 10-year-old gelding won as he pleased by a reduced margin of 21 lengths from remote runner-up Fenway Park (5/1).

It was a similar story to his last outing in a claiming hurdle over two miles five furlongs at Limerick last month where he made all and cruised in by 20 lengths.

Declan Queally said: “That’s his kind of thing now.

"He’s ten-years-old and he’s had plenty of issues. He’s staying in one piece at the moment. He’s had tendon issues. Dave (Kiely) is getting a good return out of him.

“He’d been a long-time maiden. Between point-to-pointing and aiming for Foxhunters, he’d never really had a clear run.

“He’s a grand horse and he’s grand for that job.

“He’s a novice and a veteran! He can run in a novice chase as well, so he has a couple of options.

“I’d say the visor is after waking him up and Kevin is good value for his 7lb.”

Nicky Stokes claimed the runner-up Fenway Park.
