Roe has Leger target Vinnie Roe won his third race at Leopardstown and booked a possible Classic bid when justifying favouritism at the Dublin track this afternoon in the Challenge Stakes.Fourth in the Italian Derby before finishing seventh to Galileo in the Irish equivalent, the 15-8 favourite proved a decisive winner over the St Leger trip for trainer Dermot Weld and champion jockey Pat Smullen.Jointly owned by Irish film producer Jim Sheridan and Italian Antonio Balzarini, Vinnie Roe has a choice of engagements on September 15 between the English St Leger at Doncaster and the all-aged Irish version at his home track on the Curragh.'I thought our horse did his job extremely well.
