Chloe's Boy (16/1) gave new owners Derek Flanagan and Derek Tighe first winners today, landing Punchestown's Festival 2027 On Sale Soon Handicap (Div I) for jockey Siobhan Rutledge and trainer Harry Rogers.

Unplaced in six previous starts, Chloe's Boy today raced from a revised-lower rating of 50 and with Rutledge racing behind the leaders, produced the three-year-old to lead inside the final furlong, before scoring by a neck from Duchess Anne .

Trainer Rogers reported “Siobhan gave him a good ride and knew what she was doing before she went out. She was keeping on the fresher ground. She's a good lassie and horses run for her.

“The last day in Navan, he was only beaten seven-and-a-half lengths and had got stopped a few times and I thought coming here, if there was a little ease in the ground, it would suit him.

“I'm delighted for the two boys (owners Flanagan and Tighe) as it's the first time they've been in a horse and they only have him about three months. He'll probably turn out again at Dundalk on Friday, we'll take a chance.”
