Romantic Proposal bids to get her season back on track in the Group 1 Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Flying Five on Champions Weekend next month, as her trainer Eddie Lynam tackles respiratory issues with the mare.
The six year old won last year's renewal of the top level Curragh race, beating star sprinter A Case Of You into second, and while she made a winning reappearance at Naas in April, has run just once since when unplaced in the July Cup at Newmarket.
Her trainer Eddie Lynam reports “she’s had plenty of setbacks, all respiratory. She seems okay now and the plan is we are hoping to get her back for the Flying Five.
“She’s missed plenty of races like the King’s Stand and the Nunthorpe - it’s just been a nightmare. She’s had dirty scopes and coughing. The hot weather has probably affected her more than most.”
